I agree Alex. Sounds a little steep to me. Afterall, it isn't much more than a Cheetah with the CCS and STS option, plus the better strings.

...plus the Cat cams. Isn't the crossfire pretty much just a firehawk with the CAT 1.5 cams versus the CAT 2 to get a shorter draw length? The $30 price break realative to the firehawk seems appropriate. The CAT cams are what really jacks up the price. $150 upcharge going from single cam to CAT cams on the Firecat is what seems steep to me.

You are right C Bailey, but a youth, women or "small framed archer" bow to be more expensive then the Firecat tr1(ex-MOAB) is a little odd.

What, smaller guys and the ladies don't deserve bows as nice as us bigger guys? When my nitrous cougar was new, I'll bet the version with the A cam for short DL wasn't any cheaper than mine with the C cam that only went down to 28". The thing I don't understand is why the crossfire is a completely separate bow. My eyes tell me that everything is identical to the firehawk, with the exception of the use of the smaller cams. Why can't Martin just offer the 1.5 cams on the firecat or firehawk to get a wider DL range without creating a new bow, just like they used to do with the nitrous bows and still do with the Scepter with furious cams. I wonder if the new CAT 1.5 cams can be custom ordered on the Firecat?

They sure do deserve... but deserve also a smaller price The CAT1.5 can be put on the Firecat i believe, but i guess these custom orders will be slower to get.

It is possible. I ordered the Shadowcat with CAT2 also.

Mini Cats on a FireCat? I have very little doubt. In fact I plan on swapping out my Cat cams on my 2008 FireCat later this year.
